A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF $50,000 IN ARPA FUNDING
TO SUPPORT TECHNOLOGICAL AND AUDIOVISUAL UPGRADES
TO THE LYNWOOD SENIOR CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood opened the Lynwood Senior Center in 2007 to
serve as its main facility to be used to provide services to resident and area seniors; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Senior Center facility is also used to host a variety of
public special events and private-rentals; and
WHEREAS, in its 15th year of service, the Senior Center facility is need of
upgrades to its obsolete technological and audio/video amenities; and
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council for the City of Lynwood finds and declares that the
forgoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates said recitals fully into this
Resolution as substantive findings.
Section 2. The City Council further finds that the requested project and
appropriation serves the important public purpose of upgrading a public facility for use
by the Lynwood community.
Section 3. The City Council further authorizes the City Manager to direct staff to
identify and approve the appropriate financial accounts to support the project as
presented.
Section 4. The City Council approves the following appropriation:

Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
