A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE APPROPRATION FROM ARPA FUND (FUND 1055) IN
THE AMOUNT OF $1,001,350 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW
TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF IMPERIAL HIGHWAY AND
RUTH AVENUE
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has issued the
California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD), and
WHEREAS, the CA MUTCD provides uniform standards and specifications for all
official traffic control devices in California; and
WHEREAS, Willdan Engineering has conducted an analysis of the CA MUTCD
standards as they apply to the intersection of Imperial Highway and Ruth Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the traffic signal warrant study is satisfied based on the Peak Hour
Volume warrant and the Crash Experience traffic warrant; and
WHEREAS, based on the Traffic Signal Warrant Analysis, Wildan Engineering
recommends the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Imperial Highway
and Ruth Avenue; and
WHEREAS, to move forward with the design and installation of a traffic signal
appropriation is needed in the amount of $1,001,350.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares
that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings
and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. That the City Council approves the following appropriation for the
installation of the new traffic signal at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Ruth
Avenue:

Section 3. That this Rresolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
