YES, this is a two family house and at moment,we do not have a functional parking to park our cars. The existing"driveway"is too slaep and narrow to be used and when there is small amount of ice or snow,it would be very difficult to even wallc let alone to park on it. Even the neighbor to our right that just build a driveway is not able to use it(Ex4) 3. Would granting of the desired relief be a substantial detriment to the public good? YES/NO, Explain. NO,granting of the variance will have absolutely NO impact on the zoning ordinance. IF NEEDED, ATTACH ADDITIONAL SHEETS OF PAPER TO THIS APPLICATION 3 ADDITIONAL SPACE FOR SUBMITTAL Dear member of the board of appeals, We have coined our two family dwelling located at 36-38 Hillcrest circle since 1996. Now we have serious parking issue that has been posed by the recent roadwork and improvement in our neighborhood. The so--called existing "driveway" associated with our house is too narrow and too steep to be able to park and it is essentially non-functional due the topography of the land. This has caused a hardship for us because right now we have only one small parking spot barely at the beginning of the mentioned "driveway" to park one car (exhibit 1 &2). The neighbor to the right of our property who has recently (2016) purchased his house (40-42 Hillcrest circle) was able to build two driveways that accommodate easily two cars on each side of his dwelling because they did not have any place to park their cars either. One of the mentioned driveway is a along the right side of our property, which is not as steep as our "driveway". However, our neighbor still cannot efficiently utilize his recently built driveway because of the steepness associated with the topography of the land where our houses are build on (exhibit 3 & 4). We are requesting a relief in order to park in front of our dwelling similar to the one that had been granted to the recently purchased (2017) property to the left of our house (32-34 Hillcrest circle). They have very similar situation as far as the driveway (except they have a garage as well) and land topography is concern. In deed, the relief that they have obtained from the zoning officials has been very effective in alleviating their parking problem by being able to park four cars in front of their house (exhibit 6 & 7). Furthermore, there are many instances in our neighborhood where properties do not have any problem as far as the land topography is concern and they are able to park along the side of their dwelling and in front of it as well (exhibit 8). We are assuring that granting us this relief has neither any detriment to the public good nor has any effect on the zoning ordinances. In fact, in contrast to other neighbors in our neighborhood in which their driveways have been paved with asphalt or concrete, which will not allow proper drainage of water, our property has been specifically paved with bricks with emphasis with maximum drainage to prevent water accumulation and runoff. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Kaveh IIt Kambiz Abdi TMS APPLICATION CRUST FEE SUBMITTED IN PERSON TO THE ZONING OFFICE ON THE 2ND FLOOR OF THE TOWN ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.
