A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING TO ALLOCATE PROPOSITION
C 40% DISCRETIONARY FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority
(LACMTA) has identified, Proposition C 40% Discretionary Funds to fund public transit
programs, and
WHEREAS, the City is an eligible operator for the Transit Service Expansion; and
WHEREAS, LACMTA has prepared a new Memorandum of Understanding with a
term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2032 to provide funding for the City's transit
operation; and
WHEREAS, the City's Fixed Route Transit is eligible to receive funding under the
proposed MOU; and
WHEREAS, by executing the proposed MOU the City can receive an estimated
$233,639.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares
that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings
and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Memorandum of Understanding to Allocate Proposition C 40% Discretionary Funds
attached hereto as Exhibit A in a form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
