AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 154 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING
ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE JUNCTION OF I-70 AND U.S.40 FROM A-1
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO C-4 GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT,
WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No.
2325-1968 designates and describes azs A-1 Agricultural
District the property located at the Junction of I-70
and U.S. 40; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the
zoning classification of said property from A-1
Agricultural District to C-4 General Business District;
and,
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond
City Plan Commission the day of ,
1986, at which time remonstrances were h and from all
parties interested in or affected by this Ordinance;
and,
WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was 9
to o in favor of/in eppGsitiQn "^ recommending the
passage of Ordinance No. 48-1986.
SECTION 1. That the zoning classification of the property
described below, and the same is hereby changed to C-4
General Business District, and that said property be
regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Richmond, Indiana and all amendments
thereto.
200 feet off of the entire north side of the following
described real estate; A part of the southeast quarter
of Section 36, Township 14, north, Range 1 west,
bounded and described as follows; Beginning at a point
on the Indiana -Ohio State Line 839.15 feet north of the
southeast corner of said Section 36, thence west 680
feet to a point in the center of Old State Road Number
40; thence north along the center of said road 300
feet; thence north 38 degrees east along the center
line of said road 125 feet; thence east 602 feet to a
point on the Indiana -Ohio State Line; thence south 400
feet to the place of beginning.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as by law
required.
