AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
REGARDING OPERATION OF CERTAIN UNLICENSED MOTOR VEHICLES BY
PUBLIC SAFETY AND STATE INSTITUTIONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 19 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic), Section 19-316 (Operation
and Riding of Certain Unlicensed Motor Vehicles) is amended as follows:
Sec. 19-316.Operation and riding of certain unlicensed motor vehicles.
It shall be unlawful to operate or ride upon any unlicensed motor vehicle having three or more wheels on
the sidewalks, streets and roadways in the city, unless operated by a Citi public-safety department or
state institution after approval by the Police Chief, so long as they are operated in safe manner in
accordance with all other traffic laws and ordinances. This ordinance shall not be construed to prohibit
the use of wheelchairs or power wheelchairs on the sidewalks.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
