HomeMy Public PortalAbout055-1986 - APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE WITHIN THE GENERAL FUNDAPPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 55-1986 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporaion the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated. GENERAL FUND Police Department 4000-Capital Outlay AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED $ 3,000.00 $ 3,000.00 SECTION 2. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and for the purposes specified. Said sum being subject to the laws governing the same. GENERAL FUND Cash Operating AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED REDUCED $ 3,000.00 $ 3,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. Hankinson Whitesell , Parker -Hlzon orris Absent• none The following business was had, to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana on the date of June 20, 1986 Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the 7th day of July 19 86, by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations as provided for in Ordinance No. 55-1986 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilperson _Whitesell moved the proof of publication be received and filed, seconded by Councilperson Parker and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. ' The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 55-1986 President Bodiker announced Ordinance No. 55-1986 was on public hearing. Additional Appropriation CM TO: Mayor Request additional appropriation from cash operating to police 4000 account in the amount of $3,000. This money will be used for the purchase of a cushman motorcycle for Pat Sanford to use in the downtown area and parking lots to mark overtime parked cars. This money is from unanticipated funds collected due to assesing a late fee on parking tickets. Money to go into acct. # 101-2-10-1001-4-4490 +lgl6 1786-gleg„leg$ NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF[ PROPOSED ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS[ Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, that the proper legal officers of said Municipal Corporation at their regular meeting place at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the 7th day of July, 1986, will consider the following additional appropriations in excess of the budget for the current year.[ AMOUNT REQUESTED [ GENERAL FUND - Police Department $ 3,000.[ Taxpayers appearing at such meeting shall have a right to be heard thereon.
