Home My Public Portal About056-1986 - ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT BY THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD OS AN AVTIVITY FUND WITHIN THE PARK RECREATION DEPARTMENT NON REVERTING FUNDORDINANCE NO, 56- 1986 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT BY THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD OF AN ACTIVITY FUND WITHIN THE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT NON -REVERTING FUND WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board of the City of Richmond passed Resolution No. 1-1986 (copy attached) on the // `6 day of June 1986; and WHEREAS, the Common Council now wishes to grant its approval to said resolution NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond that Resolution No. 1-1986 as passed by the Parks and Recreation Board for the City of Richmond is hereby approved and adopted by the Common Council with the understanding that the supervision and responsibility for the activity fund shall be upon the superintendent of the Park Department. Mayor A T T E S T City CIVerk PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT OF RICHMOND, INDIANA RESOLUTION NO. 1-1986 (NON -REVERTING ACTIVITY FUND RESOLUTION) A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH AN ACTIVITY FUND WITHIN THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT'S NON -REVERTING FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYMENT TO SPORTS LEAGUE OFFICIALS, SCOREKEEPERS AND BUS DRIVERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH INDIANA CODE 36--10--3 AND CITY OF RICHMOND ORDIANCE 87-1985. WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana through it's Common Council has adopted a non -reverting operating fund known as Ordinance 87-1985; and WHEREAS, such ordinance establishes a Non -Reverting Operating Fund for the depositing of program fees and the payment of program expences; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department desires to establish an Activity Fund so as to pay sports officials, scorekeepers and bus drivers on a timely basis; and WHEREAS, State Board of Accounts has given approval to establish a checking account to pay these officials, scorekeepers and bus drivers; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has established efficient and comprehensive procedures for the administration of an Activity Fund checking account. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD FOR THE RICHMOND PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT THAT: The Beard of Parks and Recreation does authorize the establishment of an Activity Fund for the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department with the limitation that the checking account may not exceed $2000 at any one time and that reimbursement of this checking account from program revenues follow established procedures of the Controller's Office, and that this Activity Fund checking account be limited in use for the payment of sports officials, scorekeepers, and bus drivers.
