A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AWARDING A PROFSSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT TO MKN &
ASSOCIATES FOR THE RESERVOIR AND BOOSTER STATION
DESIGN (CIP 4011.67.056) FOR A NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF
$599,692.00
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood submitted a Request for Proposals on June 14,
2022; and
WHEREAS, on July 11, 2022, the Request for Proposals for the Reservoir and
Booster Station Design closed on the City's web site (PlanetBids); and
WHEREAS, the City received four proposals; and
WHEREAS, upon analysis of the requested RFP parameters MKN & Associates
submitted the lowest cost proposal including Optional Task Al and were also the highest
ranked proposer; and
WHEREAS, further appropriations of $282,380 are needed for the design work of
reservoir and booster station; and
WHEREAS, the budget deficit amount of $282,380 will be transferred out of LUA
2020-A Revenue Bonds and into CIP 4011.67.56 for a project total of $721,396; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends MKN & Associates for the design portion of the
Reservoir and Booster Station Design Project for FY 22/23.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares that the
foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as
a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the Mayor to execute
the professional services agreement between the City of Lynwood and MKN & Associates
attached hereto as Exhibit A, in a form approved by the City Attorney, for the Reservoir
and Booster Station Design Project FY22/FY23 ("Project") in the amount of $599,692.00.
The City Council also authorizes the Mayor to execute this Resolution.

Section 4. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by
the City Council.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council Resolution.
