RESOLUTION # 9 1954
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AND MAKE A CONTRACT
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS AND CURBS AROUND THE WATER DEPART-
MENT BUILDING.
WHEREAS, there are no curbs or sidewalks around the
Water Department building owned by the Town of Richland Hills and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to immediately construct said
curbs and sidewalks in order for the building to be accessible to
the employees and to the patrons of the Water Department and whereas
a survey has been made and determined that the prevailing price
within the Town of Richland Hills for the construction of sidewalks
is . elber square foot and for the construction of curbs and gutters
is $1 .00 per lineal foot;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNSEL OF THE TOWN OF RICHLAND HILLS,TEXAS :
(1) The Mayor, Homer Norton shall immediately enter into a contract
for the construction of standard sidewalk and standard curb and
gutters around the Water Department Building the cost of the side-
walks not to exceed er square foot and the cost of curbing
and gutters not to exc ed $1 .00 per lineal foot.
(2) That the said contract for this construction shall provide for
the immediate construction of said sidewalks and gutters .
(3) That the cost of laying the sidewalks and curbs and gutters
shall be paid out of the Water Purchase & Improvement Account' .
(4) The Mayor is further authorized and directed to do all things
necessary or proper to accomplish the immediate construction of the
sidewalks and curbs and gutters in a good and workmanlike manner.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 5th day of November, 1954.
