AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE RICHMOND SANITARY BOARD
TO ESTABLISH A FEE FOR DISPOSAL OF LIQUID WASTE FROM
SEPTIC TANKS AND GREASE TRAPS
WHEREAS, the Board of Sanitary Commissioners of the Sanitary
District of Richmond, Indiana (hereinafter called the
"Board") operates and maintains the Wastewater Treatment
Plant;
WHEREAS, the Board established certain rates and service charges for
disposal of liquid waste;
WHEREAS, the Board of Sanitary Commissioners has deemed it necessary
to revise the method and rates in light of increased costs;
WHEREAS, the Board has conducted a public hearing on the method and
rates;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond that:
Resolution Number 17-1986 (copy attached) of the Board of
Directors of the Richmond Sanitary District, as adopted by
the Board on September 9, 1986, is hereby approved by the
Common Council.

RESOLUTION NO. 17-1986
WHEREAS, the Board of Sanitary Commissioners of the Sanitary District
of Richmond, Indiana (hereinafter called the "Board")
operates and maintains the Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the Board has previously established certain rates and
service charges for disposal of liquid waste at the
Treatment Plant; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Sanitary Commissioners now deems it necessary
to revise the method and rates in light of increased costs
in operating the Richmond Wastewater Treatment Plant; and
WHEREAS, the Board has conducted a public hearing on the method and
rates for disposal of liquid waste
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SANITARY COMMISSIONERS
OF THE SANITARY DISTRICT OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, that the Board hereby
revised its method and rates for service charges for disposal of
liquid wastewater. The revised rates shall be as follows:
For waste from septic tanks - $2.00 per 100 gallons
For waste from grease
� traps - $6.00 per 100 gallons

Public notice is hereby made by the City Clerk of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, of the adoption and passage of
Ordinance No. 71-1986.[

TANKS AND GREASE TRAPS.[
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of Richmond, that:[
Resolution No. 17-1986 of the Board of Directors of the
Richmond Sanitary District, as adopted by the Board on
September 9, 1986, is hereby approved by the Common
Council.[
Resolution No. 17-1986: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by
the Board of Sanitary Commissioners of the Sanitary District
of Richmond, Indiana, that the Board hereby revises its
method and rates for service charges for disposal of liquid
wastewater. The revised rates shall be as follows:[
For waste from septic tanks - $2.00 per 100 gallons[
For waste from grease traps - $6.00 per 100 gallons[
These fees shall take effect November 1, 1986.[
Passed and adopted by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana this 15th day of September, 1986.[
