As you know, the new highway has been funded by the State Department of Commerce for the expansion of our industrial base. The new highway will not provide adequate access without traffic signals, and the $30,000 is the amount for the installation, not the signal equipment. Our anticipated construction sequence requires the signals to be in- stalled in approximately six weeks, and your earliest appropriation will be just in time to avoid winter driving conditions.
