HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD15325 BILL NO. 2014-69 SPONSORED BY COUNCILMAN Bray ORDINANCE NO. / s9 L5 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING SECTION 3.5 OF THE FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PLAN FOR CITY EMPLOYEES AS ORIGINALLY ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 12181, AS MOST RECENTLY AMENDED BY ORDINANCE 15178. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3.5 of the City's Flexible Benefit Plan, as originally adopted by ordinance 12181, as most recently amended by ordinance 15178, is hereby amended as follows: 3.5 Employer Contributions. The Employer shall make available to each Participant an Employer Contribution equal to $1-10.51 $437.48 per month, funded at$205.27 $218.74 per pay period for each of the first two regular pay periods of each month during the Plan Year. This$110.51 $437.48 is available only if the employee either elects coverage under one of the employer sponsored health plans or provides evidence of health care coverage from another source. Any remaining funds in excess of the insurance cost, up to $410.51 $437.48 may be used to purchase other benefits available pursuant to Section 4.1. Those employees participating in the city-sponsored healthy living wellness program will receive an additional $35 per month for employee-only, employee and children, or no health insurance and $50 per month for employee and spouse or family plans. The Employer contribution is not considered as part of the employee's full compensation and is not available to the employee as cash. Section 2. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 12181, enacted by Council on November . 15, 1994, and which was last amended by Ordinance 14725, is hereby amended as follows: Section 3. In addition to the Employer contributions listed above the City shall underwrite premiums for health insurance for spouse coverage in the amount of-two hundred forty three dollars and ten cents $243.10 $287.72 per month, for children coverage in the amount of • - - - - - •• - - - - - - • • - • - • - -."- $280.23 per month, and for family coverage in the amount of - • - • -- - - - - - fifty : 2 three cents $503.53 $569.71 per month. For employees selecting the HSA plan, $68.45 of the amounts listed above are paid into the employee's health savings account. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on January 1, 2015.
