RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE
AND RECEIVE TWO PUMPING UNITS.
WHEREAS, the Town of Richland Hills has heretofore
authorized in accordance with the ordinances of the Town of
Richland Hills and the laws of the State of Texas, the pur-
chase of two pumping units in accordance with plans, specifi-
cations and contract documents prepared by Freese & Nichols,
Consulting Engineers, and
WHEREAS, bids have been received for the pumping units
to be used by the Water Department and whereas the Town has re-
ceived the recommendation of the engineers, Freese & Nichols
and whereas, Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company submitted the
low bid for pumping unit No. Two as set out in the plans and
specifications and whereas Briggs -Weaver Machinery Company has
submitted the low bid for Unit No. One.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF RICHLAND HILLS, THAT:
Section 1. Allis-Chalmers Company be awarded the contract for
pumping Unit No. Two and Briggs -Weaver Machinery Company be
awarded the contract for pumping Unit No. One as set out in
plans and specifications and bids received by the Town.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute
con Fact with the above companies in accordance with plans,
specifications and contract documents and he is further direct-
ed to see that a check in payment of these units be issued when
the contract has been complied with and that said check be drawn
in accordance with the ordinances of the Town of Richland Hills,
Texas.
Section 3. The Mayor is further authorized and directed to do
all other things necessary and proper to accomplish the purchase
and delivery and installation of the above described pumping
units.
