RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE
MAGNOLIA PETROLEUM COMPANY FOR THE INSTAL-
LATION OF A GASOLINE STORAGE TANK AND DIS-
TRIBUTING PUMP AND FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE
NECESSARY GASOLINE
WHEREAS, the Town is presently purchasing gasoline
from Retail Service Stations and whereas it would be more
convenient for the Town to have a storage tank and pump and
whereas, it would also be cheaper; and
WHEREAS, various gasoline supply companies were
requested to submit bids for the installation of a company
owned pump and for the furnishing of gasoline and whereas
these bids have been received and whereas no bid was submitted
lower than that submitted by the Magnolia Petroleum Company;
and whereas no company will install at no cost to the Town a
pump and storage facilities without a contract to furnish the
gasoline for a period of two years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. That the Mayor be authorized to enter into a con-
tract wi, the Magnolia Petroleum Company for the installa-
tion of a gasoline storage tank and pump and for the furnish-
ing of the necessary gasoline at a competitive price with
other users in the same classification and category as the Town
for a period not to exceed two years.
Section 2. The Mayor is further authorized and directed to do
and perform all other things necessary and proper to accomplish
the installation of said pump and storage facilities and the
contract for the furnishing of the necessary gasoline.
