Public Comment: Katherine Hansen, Kara Jeffus present, Michael of Banyans. No public comments received. Approve Minutes for April 19, 2023, Meeting: Minutes approved. Eric's Report: LOT funds requested for clubhouse roof, cart paths, parking lot lights, and Still looking for seasonal employees, 4 full time and 2 part time (currently working full time). HS student will start in June, another for June and July. Still advertising for employees. All greens are cleared and exposed to the lovely sun. 4 have been damaged due to snow mold from length of time snow was here. Plan to sweep, mow, and recover until closer to opening. Fairways slowly melting, snow still on 5 & 7 Cedar. The drainage on 9 Aspen is working as hoped so no "lake" in the fairway. Pumping water off of 6 Aspen into trees between Birch 6 and A6. Haven't had to do this for nearly 6 years. Landscapes unlimited will be here tomorrow to set a schedule for redoing Birch tee boxes. We can do have funding available to do the Aspen tees this fall. Erik will send out a memo to update us after decisions have been made. New stands for water coolers have been completed. Metal doors to be made with our logo cut out of the door. Using old file cabinets to make roofs and shingles for the water coolers. Old ones are in the dumpster, so we are committed to the new ones. We will forego cup holders because most people have their own water bottles. Completed the first phase of the rezoning. Will need a HOA meeting in Late June early July so we can proceed with the rezoning. Company that has a "Zipper" will come in July and provide a demonstration for ripping and shredding the cart paths in preparation for repaving. Plan to rent a roller to compress the crown out of many paths. Funds have been found to clean out all duct work at the club house. David's Report: Staffing is up to 33-37 seasonals that work two to three shifts a week. Training will be next Friday and Monday at city hall. Matt Thackery has taken a leadership role on training staff on the POS system. Soft open last week with the shop open and have sold some merchandise on the sale racks. All the golf carts have arrived and organized with help from staff and volunteers. Lynne Edwards has reported that all tournaments are full with the largest sign up in history. Getting many requests for small group events. David hasn't had time to give these his full attention. Wanting to keep open play open to general public and members. David will require full payment in advance including cart rentals and clubs, and charge extra for reserving these tee times. NO refunds or rain checks will be offered. Planning a sit down with Eric M, and Michael on a weekly basis to communicate ways to optimize business cooperation throughout the season. Tony and A suggested a meet the pro night prior to opening. Great time to sell a bunch of passes, and some merchandise. David will look into the Wednesday or Thursday before we open. Rita asked that David bring financials to future meetings. 61 passes have been sold to date. David is meeting with Linda next week to review expenses thus far. We bought a new ball machine, a new hitting mat, and new range balls. We purchased radios for communication. Plan to utilize the mats at least two days a week to help preserve the grass at the practice facility. Michael of Banyans - will work with folks to provide lunch specials during ladies day. Beverage cart will be in operation. The patio tent will be installed next week. Katherine Hansen - LGA President; pleased to hear about the positive communication happening between the pro, the superintendent, and food service. Monthly Topic: Review Superintendent's annual budget and work plans. Eric has sent out the preliminary budget for 2024. By next week's city meeting there will be more data filled in the spreadsheet. Main goals will be to get the new course bathrooms going, a new lift station for the club house, reroof and insulate the club house, and redo the cart paths. Old Business: Ramp business, still trying to get bids from Granite. This may turn into a fall project. Score board update, Men's club approved the expense to build it. Need to have a design to take to design review to get approval. Contractor needs a license to work in the city of McCall. Need a more formal bid also. The men's club can move ahead on a mobile scoreboard. Enclosing the storage space under the deck is waiting for final design specifications and maybe even a permit. Currently Annette is apprehensive with project progression and planning. Rita suggested a letter of intent from the Men's Club. Review Project List: No updates. New Business: Pass purchases are currently only available online. David would like to avoid selling in the golf shop during the first couple of weeks to avoid. Advisory committee has no problems with this. Broadcast announcement will be sent to members and placed on the website. Eric had a meeting with a homeowner that wants to build his personal path to intersect with the golf cart paths. Ken will research the policy regarding this issue and meet with the individual. David will have staff trained on educating the public about encroaching on the golf course during the golf season.
