On this theday of 1955, the
Town Council of the Town of Richland Hills convened in
meeting, at the regular meeting place, with the following mem-
bers thereof to -wit:

being present, with the following absent:
constituting a quorum, at which time the following proceedings
were had:
Alderman C;14, r �_Ow,?44' introduced. a Resolution and
made a motion that it be adopted. The motion was seconded by
Alderman �.�+.�� 6c and the Motion carrying with it the
adoption of the resolution prevailedby the following vote:

The resolution as adopted is as follows:
RESOLUTION
-40 BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS CALLING AN ELECTION ON THE QUES-
TION OF THE CONSOLIDATION OF THE TOWN OF RICH -
LAND HILLS, TEXAS AND THE TOWN OF RICHLAND PARK,
TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Richland
Hills, Texas has received a petd: n signed --by qualified .electors
exceeding fifteen percent of the total vote cast in the last
preceeding election for city officials in the Town of Richland
Hills, Texas next preceeding the filing of the said petition,
petitioning the Town Council to call an election for the pur-
pose of voting on the question of consolidating the Town of
Richland. Hills, Texas with the Town of Richland Park, Texas; and.
WHEREAS, the Town Council has been advised that the
Town Council of the Town of Richland Park has also received. a
like petition;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
1. That an election be held in the Town of Richland.
Hills, Texas on the day of 3eCem �rr , 1955 at which elec-
tion the following proposition shall be submitted:
"Shall the Town of Richland. Hills, Texas and
the Town of Richland Park, Texas be consol-
idated."
2. That the said, election shall be held at the

named. persons are hereby appointed as officers of aaid election,
to -wit:

3. The ballots of said election shall have written
or printed. thereon the following;
"For Consolidation".
"Against Consolidation."
Each voter shall mark out with black ink or black
pencil one of the above expressions, thus leaving the other as
indicating his vote on the proposition.
4. A substantial copy of this resolution signed by
the Mayor Qf said. Town and attested by the Town Secretary shall
serve as proper notice of said election. The Mayor is authorized.
and directed. to have a copy of said notice posted at three public
places within the said. Town not less than fifteen days prior to

the date fixed for holding said election. There being no news-
paper being published. within this Town the Mayor shall cause
said Notice to be published on the same day in each of two
successive weeks in the Neighborhood News, a newspaper pub-
lished within Tarrant County and having general circulation in
the Town of Richland Hills. The date of the first publication
shall be not less than fourteen days prior to the date set
for said election. The manner of holding said election shall
be governed. by the laws of the State of Texas.

Richland Hills, Texas, do hereby certify that the above and
foregoing is a true, full and correct copy of a resolution
adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Richland Hills,
Texas, (and of the minutes pertaining thereto) on the o2 %
day of Oje�� , 1955 calling an election on the question
of consolidation with the Town of Richland Park, Texas, which
resolution is of record. in the minutes of said Town Council.
