A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
TO APPROVE AN AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA STREET
LIGHTING TO UPGRADE 88 STREET LIGHTS ON ATLANTIC AVENUE
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $147,880.00
WHEREAS, City of Lynwood creates a festive holiday atmosphere annually by
adding holiday lighting throughout the commercial sections of the City; and
WHEREAS, these streets are the most traveled and visited throughout the season;
and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 6-3.7(b)(2) of the Lynwood Municipal Code,
purchases between $50,001 and $200,000 shall be by informal bid and shall be approved
by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, staff reached out to three companies and only received one bid for
the emergency upgrades requested; and
WHEREAS, to have fully upgraded street lights before the holidays, a purchase
should be made expeditiously.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and declares
that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings
and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Sections 2. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to approve a
purchase order for the authorization of a purchase order with California Street Lighting
for upgrade of 88 street lights along Atlantic Ave for a not to exceed amount of
$147,880.00.
Section 3. That the City Council approves to the following appropriation:

Section 4. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Resolution for and on behalf of
the City of Lynwood.

Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
