A RESOLUTION PROVIDING AND SETTING FORTH THAT ALL TAX
ASSESSMENTS HAVE BEEN AND WILL BE MADE IN ACCORDANCE
WITH A PERCENTAGE VALUE OF THE PROPERTY AND THAT SAME
FORMULA and PERCENTAGE WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL PROPERTY
AND THAT NO PARTICULAR PEOPLE OR AREAS WILL BE ASSESSED
AT A DIFFERENT RATE THAN THE RATE USED FOR THE ENTIRE
TOWN.
WHEREAS, erroneous information has heretofore appeared in var-
ious news publications to the effect that tax assessments have been or
will be made on certain properties located in the City at a lower rate
of the value of the property than in other areas; and
WHEREAS, such is not the true facts and in order to publicly
correct such erroneous information setting forth that the same rate
or percentage of the value of the property will be applied to all
properties located in the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF RICHLAND HILLS THAT:
Section 1. That the Tax Assessor and Collected be ordered to assess all
property on an equal basis in relation to the value of the property and that
no partiality be shown to any person, firm or corporation.
Section 2. That the Board of Aldermen has made an investigation and have
determined that on the assessments made on the property located in the
Town of Richland Hills that the Taz Assessor and Collector would attempt
to make all assessments on the same basis and that the Tax Assessor and
Collector would not in any way attempt to apply a different formula or
rate to any particular area of the City and that in the event any errors
or mistakes have been made that the Board of Equalization will make the
necessary corrections in accordance with the Laws of the State of Texas.
Section 3. That the Tax Assessor and Collector be authorized to have
copy of this resolution published in the event said Tax Assessor and
Collector deems it necessary and/or advisable in order to correct
erroneous information heretofore published in various newspapers.
