AN ORDINANCE PROVDING FOR A CITY PROSECUTOR; PROVIDInG FOR DUTIES
THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR APPOINTMENT OF CITY PROSECUTaR; AND SALARY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE~GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS:
Section 1. PROSECUTING ATTORNEY-ESTABLISHMENT
This is hereby established for the City of Bel Aire. Kansas a position of
City Prosecutor.
Section 2. DUTIES
the duties of the City Prosecut~r sh~ll i"~lude prosecut1onof any cases
coming ~efore the Municipal Court of bel Aire,Kansas; to, enter'into any necesSary
litigation or diversion programs th~~ might be necessary in the lawful, prosecution
of su~h cases; and to provide any ~ther necessary duties pursu~nt to the laws of the
City of Bel Aire, Kansas and the State of Kansas.
Section 3. APPOINTMENT OF PROSECUTOR
The Mayor, with the consent of the Council, shal1 appoint the City Prosecutor
of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas.
Section 4.
Th~ Prosecuting Attonrey shall receive a salary of $ '1&O.~(Jper AAlA/V/lIt.
