A RESOLUTION WAIVING ALL UNPAID TAX PENALTIES
ON 1957 TAXES WHERE THE TAX HAS BEEN PAID AND
THE PENALTY DUE IS LESS THAN FIFTY (500 CENTS.
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the Council
that several people have paid their 1957 taxes but neglected to pay the
penalty as provided; and
WHEREAS, most of these penalties amount to only a few cents
and whereas, the expense of attempting to collect them would be greatly
in excess of the amounts due;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE TOWN OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. On all 1957 taxes which have been paid and where the property
owner neglected to pay a penalty as provided, that the said penalties
be and they are hereby waived if the amount thereof is less than fifty
(500 cents.
Section 2. The Tax Assessor and Collector is hereby directed to make
the necessary entries on the records of the Town's books complying with
this resolution.
