HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 918 - Appropriations Ordinance FY 14 BudgetORDINANCE NO. 918 AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE FY14 ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2013, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $16,755,365 TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE CITY OF McCALL FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR, AUTHORIZING A LEVY OF A SUFFICIENT TAX. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL, VALLEY COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO: SECTION 1. TITLE: This Ordinance shall be entitled and cited as the "FY14 Annual Appropriation Ordinance of the City of McCall." SECTION 2. FINDINGS: The City Council finds: A. As required by law, the city has duly noticed and held a public hearing on the 08 day of August, 2013 for a proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 (FY14) for the City of McCall, Idaho; and B. That the sum of $16,755,365 be, and the same is, appropriated to defray the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of McCall, Valley County, State of Idaho for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2013. C. That the appropriations and sums of money as are hereinafter set forth in Section 3 are deemed necessary to defray all the necessary expenses and liabilities of the City of McCall for FY14. SECTION 3. ADOPTION OF THE BUDGET AND APPROPRIATION OF EXPENDITURE: The City Council hereby adopts the budget and the appropriation of expenditures for the City of McCall, Idaho, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2013, and ending September 30, 2014 the objects for which such appropriation is made, and the amount of each object and purpose is as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 918— Passage Date August 28, 2013 1 of 3 APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE — FY14 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES: GENERAL FUND Mayor and Council $238,162 Info Systems $294,304 City Manager $256,371 Administrative Costs $370,435 Finance Department $261,365 Clerk Department $203,444 Local Option Tax Department $242,866 Community Development $538,191 Police Department $1,488,246 Parks $530,377 Grants $5,410 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) $552,964 Contingency $343,785 General Fund Total $5,325,920 Streets/Public Works Fund $2,051,411 Library Fund $407,550 Recreation Fund $1,001,258 Airport Fund $2,213,722 Capital Projects Fund $100,000 LID's $0.00 Golf Fund $819,626 Water Fund $2,170,494 Sewer Fund $2,665,384 SPECIAL REVENUE & ENTERPRISE FUND EXPENDITURES $11,429,445 TOTAL PROPOSED EXPENDITURES $16,755,365 SECTION 4. TAX LEVY: That a general tax levy on all taxable property within the City of McCall be levied in an amount allowed by law for the general purposes for said City, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2013. SECTION 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. The City Clerk is directed to forthwith publish this Ordinance and file a certified copy of the same with the office of the Secretary of State of the State of Idaho as provided in I.C. §50-1003 and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage, approval and publication in one issue of The Star -News, a newspaper for general circulation of the City of McCall, and the official newspaper of said City.
