A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AMENDING ITS COMPENSATION (SALARY SCHEDULE) PLAN TO
COMPLY WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA'S MINIMUM WAGE LAW
FOR ITS PART-TIME CASHIER AND LOCKER ATTENDANT
POSITIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a General Law City under California law and is
governed by and elected City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted an Employee
Classification and Position Plan and on occasion amends the plan as needed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted a salary
resolution with salary schedules for Management and General employees; and
WHEREAS, in order to amend the City's compensation plan, the City Council must
do so by way of resolution in accordance with Rule V, Sections 1-2 of the City's Personnel
Rules and Regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Amend the City's Compensation Plan (Salary Schedule) to increase
the hourly rate for the part-time "Cashier" and "Locker Attendant" classifications from
$15.45 an hour to $15.50 an hour, in compliance with the State of California's Minimum
Wage increase that takes effect on January 1, 2023.
