1. CALL TO ORDER
City Manager, Candice Edmondson, called the meeting to order at 5:59pm.
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS
No public comments.
REGULAR AGENDA
3. Welcome
City Manager, Candice Edmondson, welcomed committee members. Ms. Edmondson
expressed the vision of Mayor Lopez and the Councilmembers, that this event shall involve the
community in all areas.
4. Introductions of staff and committee members
Committee members and City Staff shared their name, tenure as residents or employees of the
City, followed by an interesting fact about themselves.
5. Discuss 75th Anniversary event goals
Committee member lead discussion ensued regarding community activities, celebration ideas,
theme ideas and ways to collaborate throughout the planning process. Several members of the
committee were present during the 50th Anniversary Celebration and shared ideas from that
event, including changes that have occurred in the last twenty-five years.
City Manager Candice Edmondson suggested the committee members involve their neighbors
and suggested that sub-committees would be possible for certain aspects of this committee
such as planning, historical data collection and volunteer coordination to involve the community
in this monumental celebration.
Discussion ensued regarding the creation of a 75th Anniversary logo and how to market the
celebratory events.
6. Discuss future meeting dates
City Manager Candice Edmondson asked the committee to discuss future dates for meetings,
all agreed that the 2nd Thursday of every month, starting January 2024, would work for everyone
on the committee and staff members involved.
7. Adjournment
There being no further discussion, City Manager Candice Edmondson declared the meeting
adjourned at 7:01pm.
