Todd Sholty
Area Director
October 20, 2000
Dear Bob,
I am notifying you of my interest in serving on the Recreation Board for the City of
McCall. I read about the split in the Parks and Rec committee in the newspaper, and I
am very interested in serving the City of McCall by volunteering on this committee.
As a youth worker, I deal with kids who are involved with recreation in all four seasons. I
think that I can provide the city with a vision for the recreational needs of kids and adults
in McCall.
Please let me know if I can answer any questions about my qualifications regarding
serving on the Recreation committee. You can reach me at work at 634-1006, or at
home at 634-1056.
Sincerely,
Todd Sholty

Allan Muller, Mayor
City of McCall
McCall, Idaho 83638
Dear Mayor Muller:
FEB - zo
I regret that I must tender my resignation as a member of the McCall Parks and
Recreation Advisory Committee.
My wife and 1 have sold our home in the McCall area and are relocating to Boise. As a
result, I will be unable to fulfill my duties as a member of the Committee.
I have appreciated the opportunity to serve and will remember my service fondly with
each future visit to the community.
Sincerely yours,
L. Kirk Hall

Dear Bob,
I am interested in applying for the open seat on the McCall Parks and Recreation
Advisory Board. I believe I have the interest, enthusiasm and expertise which would
allow me to be an asset to the Board.
I have lived in McCall for 10 years and in that time I have seen many good things
happen in both Parks and the Recreation programs. My three children have been active
participants in gymnastics, baseball, softball, and basketball, and both my husband and I
are volunteer coaches for the Rec. Department. We use the parks and are impressed with
the improvements we've seen over the past decade.
As use of the parks increases and as participation in recreation programs grows,
there will be increased demands on the city staff and resources. I feel that I can be helpful
in supporting staff and resources to meet these needs. I have excellent communication
skills, good organizational skills, and a good grant -writing background which may benefit
the City by bringing in additional dollars for program enhancement and development.
While, like all volunteers, I have family and work responsibilities, I feel I have the time to
carry out the duties of Board member. I also believe that Advisory Boards should strive
for gender equity, and I am aware that currently no women serve on the Parks and
Recreation Board.
I look forward to hearing from you regarding my application. I am will to meet
with the City Council if necessary regarding my request for appointment.
Sincerely,
Carol Coyle
