Dear Bob Pecham,
As you requested, I am writing this letter to express my interest in volunteering for the
Recreation Committee. Although I recently moved to the area with my wife and two
children, my family has lived in McCall for over 20 years. I have been visiting for that time
and have been planning to move here for the last 5 years. I have subscribed to the Star
News for the last couple of years, so I am somewhat familiar with the issues of McCall.
One of the main reasons I moved to a small town is for a better environment for my two
children, Dillon (5) and Cameron (3). I plan to rake a year or two off from work and would
like to get involved with the community. Since I moved here in large part due to the
Recreational Activities, volunteering for the Committee seems like an excellent way to get
involved, and at the same time see what is out there for my family
As for myself, I have been a Director of Marketing for the Ramada Vacation Suits and the
Polo Towers in Las Vegas for the last 15 years. I am typically responsible for a 6 million
dollar annual budget and am familiar with Spreadsheets, Databases, and Quickbooks. I love
to Snowmobile, Golf, Ski, (downhill and cross-country) Horseback Ride, Hunt, Hike, etc. I
would hope that between my skill sets and the fact that I am an outdoor enthusiast that I
can be a benefit to the Committee.
My wife and I still own a Show Ticket and Tour business in Las Vegas, so other than the
occasional business trip, I will have sufficient time available to volunteer. If I can answer
