Home My Public Portal About040-1985-VETOED-TRANSFER WITHIN THE FIREMEN PENSION FUNDTRANSFER ORDINANCE NO.40- 1985 AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE FIREMEN PENSION FUND WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to transfer money within the fund appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered and set apart out of the several appropriations herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED FIREMEN PENSION FUND 4000-Capital Outlays $ 595.00 $ 595.00 SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations be reduced. in the following amounts: AMOUNT REQUESTED FIREMEN PENSION FUND 3000 - Other Services and $ 595.00 Charges AMOUNT REDUCED $ 595.00 SECTION 3. Maness, Controller RE: 'Transfer Ordinance No, 40-1985 L prepared this ordinance at the request of Mr. Harbin. As City Controller a couple of questions came to my mind as T reviewed the request. Why is there excess money in the physicals account? What is their volume of copying that creates the need for a copier? Where do they plan to place the copier? Which station? They have access to the City Copier in the Controllers Office. The fire department uses this copier on regular basis with no problems. Their 1995 budget has only $155.00 of supplies. Will this be sufficient to cover cost of paper, etc. Up to now all of the Board's copying has been done on the copier in the City Building and charged to the Fire Department.
