WHEREAS, Section 51.04 of Part 51, Chapter 1, Subtitle B, Title B, Title 31 of the Code of Federal regulations provides as follows: (c) Provide for the expenditure of entitlement funds in accordance with the laws and procedures applicable to the expenditure of its own revenues. W HEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund for certain ordinary and/or necessary maintenance and operating and certain ordinary and/or necessary capital expenditures, said sum being subject to all laws governing the sa me. At this time, we would like to reco mend the following allocations: Police Department - Radio Receiver 4,000.00 Park Department - Two riding lawn mowers 14,200.00 Two 6 x 12 trailers 2,200.00 Ten hand lawn mowers 1,500.00 Carpet - Glen Miller Golf Club House 2,000.00 Glen Miller Tennis Courts 28,600.00 Multi -Media and Public Relations Wit. 1,300.00 Contract for Park Master Plan 12,000.00 Two -ton dump truck 27,000.00 3/4 ton pick up truck with snow blade 16,000.00 Total for Park 105,000.00 Grand Total 109,000.00 As stated in my memo of April 22, 1985, relative to tbh first Revenue Sharing Appropriation, Ordinance 37-1985, there was 110,000.00 remaining of Revenue Sharing funds to be allocated. We are still holding 1,000.00 waiting on further study of one department request. The c:cir�i.ttee elected to allocate the remaining funds to the tennis courts to provide a little cushion for unforeseen repair problems. Since the intent of the committee was to purchase as few vehicles as possible the line patrol cars from the Police Department will be transferred to the Fare Department to replace worn out vehicles now in use in that Department.
