AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE A TRANSFER FROM THE CASH RESERVE
FUND OF RICHMOND POWER AND LIGHT TO THE GENERAL FUND OF
THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
W H E R E A S, the C o m m on C ounci l for the City of Rich m and acting in its capacity
as the Board of Directors for the RP&L passed and adopted Resolution
No. 1- 1985 on March 4, 1985 approving the transfer of $ 150,000.00
from the cash reserve fund of RP&L to the General Fund of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, and;
W H E R E AS, it is in the interest of the City of Rich m and to fund an Economic
Growth and Development Department to encourage orderly
development of areas suitable for business and industrial development
and to promote the general economic attractiveness and development
of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and;
WHEREAS, there exists a need for an additional appropriations in the General
Fund of the City of Richmond, Indiana to fund the Department of
Economic Development.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA:
SE CTIO N 1. That Resolution No. 1-- 1985 of the Rich m and Power & Light Board
of Directors be ratified and adopted as a part of this Ordinance.
