HomeMy Public PortalAbout053-1985-SETTING TOTAL REGULAR WAGES AND POSITIONS FOR APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES EXCEPT IN THE POLICE AND FIRE UNITAMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 53-1985 AN ORDINANCE SETTING TOTAL REGULAR WAGES AND POSITIONS FOR APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF RICHMON➢, INDIANA EXCEPT FOR MEMBERS OF THE POLICE AND FIRE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNITS. FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1986 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1986, APPROVING THE ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION TO CERTAIN APPOINTED OFFICIALS OF THE CITY, OTHER THAN GOVERNMENTAL, WHO PERFORM SERVICES FOR THE CITY, WHICH SERVICES ARE CONNECTED WITH THE OPERATION OF MUNICIPALLY OWNED UTILITY OR FUNCTIONS, ACKNOWLEDGING THE FIVE JOB FAMILIES AND RANKINGS OF THE CITY POSITIONS WITHIN THE FAMILIES PER THE POSITION CLASSIFICATION STUDY AND CLASSIFYING THE POSITIONS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE FEDERAL FAIR LABOR STANDARD ACT (FLSA) WHEREAS, each position has been classified and ranked within 1 of 5 job families being: EXECUTIVE / MANAGERIAL / SUPERVISORY - - - - - EMS PROFESSIONAL / ADMINISTRATIVE / TECHNICAL - - PAT CLERICAL/ OFFICE MACHINE OPERATOR/ TECHNICIAL- COMOT LABOR/TRADE/CRAFTS----- ---- - - - - -- LTC PROTECTIVE OCCUPATIONAL/ LAW ENFORCEMENT- - - -POLE; and, WHEREAS, the FLSA requires all positions be classified as either Not Covered (N/C), Covered but Exempt (C-E) or Covered (C). NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana: SECTION 1. That for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1986 and ending December 31, 1986, the following appointed officers and employees of the City of Richmond, Indiana shall receive the following total regular wages for the positions, shall be classified according to 1 of the 5 job classification and be classified according the FLSA as so indicated.
