HomeMy Public PortalAbout055-1985-TRANSFER WITHIN THE GENERAL FUNDTRANSFER ORDINANCE NO.55-1985 AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to transfer money within the fund appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered and set apart out of the several appropriations herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED GENERAL FUND - Police Dept. 3000-Other Services & $ 6,000.00 $ 6,000.00 Charges SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations be reduced in the following amounts: GENERAL FUND Police Dept. 1000-Personal Services AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED REDUCED $ 6,000.00 $ 6,000.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana. Councilperson Williams presided with the following members present: Councilpersons Elstro Brookbank , Hankinson , Whitesell BOdiker Lemoine , Morris , Par er Absent • none The following business was had, to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana on the date of Public LAW 54 Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the day of , 19 , by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations as provided for in Ordinance No. 55--1985 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilperson _ moved the proof of publication be received anf filed, seconded by Councilperson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 55-1985 President Williams announced Ordinance No. 55-1985 was on public hearing. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 55-1985 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Elstro Brookbank , Whitesell Par er , B6aiker , —Morris Le- oine Williams Noes: lla- inson Absent: none The vote being 8 to I in favor of passage of Ordinance No. 55-1 85 (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) There being no further business on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, the meeting was adjourned. /s/ Marion Williams s( President of Common Council ATTEST' Mary Merchan-house City Clerk (IIA) TRANSFER OF FUNDS CERTIFICATE 1, the proper legal officer of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, hereby certify to the Auditor of Wayne County that the Common Council Transferred $ 6,000.00 From 1000-Personal Services (Major Budget Classification) To 3000-Other_Services and Charges (Major Budget Classification) Within Police Department -General Fund (Department or office) and that such transfer does not necessitate expenditures of more money than was set out in detail in the budget as finally approved by the State Board of Tax Commissioners.
