RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CARTERET URBAN ENTERPRISE ZONE
ADVISORY BOARD TO REQUEST FUNDING FOR STREETSCAPE
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") would like to revitalize
designated streets in the Urban Enterprise Zone to enhance the safety and provide a
pleasant shopping experience for shoppers that would provide business growth and
create possible job opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Mayor and Council has determined that it would be
appropriate to utilize Urban Enterprise Zone ("UEZ") funds to pay for said
revitalization; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, do hereby approve
and endorse the Carteret UEZ Advisory Board application to the New Jersey UEZ
Authority be authorized for the use of $2,473.056.00 to be used for the Washington
Avenue/Roosevelt Avenue corridor.
