ORDINANCE NO: 565
AN ORDINANCE AF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA,
ENACTING THIS ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO GENERAL
PENALTY LANGUAGE, NECESSARY FOR THE
CODIFICATION OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT INTO A MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT.
The City Council for the City of Beaumont, California
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. (a) Any person violating any of the provisions
or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of
the ordinances of the City of Beaumont, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, unless the violation is made an infraction by
ordinance.
(b) Except in cases where a different
punishment is prescribed by any ordinance of the City of Beaumont
any person convicted of a misdemeanor for violation of an
ordinance of the city is punishable by a fine of not more than
five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment not to exceed six monthE
or by both such fine and imprisonment.
(c) Any person convicted of an infraction for
violation of an ordinance of the City of Beaumont, is punishable
by (1) a fine not exceeding fifty dollars for a first violation;
(2) a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars for a second
violation of the same ordinance within one year; (3) a fine not
exceeding two hundred fifty dollars for each additional
violation of the same ordinance within one year.
(d) Each such person shall be guilty of a
separate offense for each and every day during any portion of
which any violation of any provision of the ordinances of the
City of Beaumont, is committed, continued or permitted by any
such person, and he shall be punishable accordingly.
SECTION 2. The City Council for the City of Beaumont is
contemplating the adoption of a Municipal Code for the City
of Beaumont, California.

1 SECTION 3. Book Publishing Company of Seatle, Washington,
2 has reviewed all of the Ordinances of the City of Beaumont, and
3 has recommended and determined that it should adopt this
4 ordinance on behalf of the City of Beaumont.

SECTION 4. This ordinance ordinance shall take effect
6 thirty days after its final passage and within fifteen days after
7 its passage shall be published as provided by law.
