HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 570ORDINANCE NO: 570 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CERTAIN ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT NECESSARY FOR THE CODIFICATION OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT INTO A MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT The City Council of the City of Beaumont, California, does ordain as follows: ,SECTION l_, The City Council of the City of Beaumont, is intending to adopt a Municipal Code of the City of Beaumont, California. 5Egl.IQ.I_Z_,. Book Publishing Company of Seattle, Washington, has reviewed all of the Ordinances of the City of Beaumont and has made recommendations and determined, subject to the approval of the City Council, that some of the Ordinances of said City are in need of amending and should be amended as follows: SECTION 3. The following Ordinances, or parts thereof, are hereby amended as follows: £LCT1D}LLL Section 4 of Ordinance No: 3 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 4. The following named officers shall be required to give bonds payable to the City of Beaumont in the amounts named below: Treasurer, $10.000 City Manager, $10,000 Finance Director, $10,000. SECTION 5. Section 5 of Ordinance No: 383 is hereby amended by adding thereto the words "except as provided in Section 11,922 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California." SECTION 6. Section 6 of Ordinance No: 383 is hereby amended by adding thereto a subsection designated as (e) Instruments taken in lieu of foreclosure as provided for in Section 11,926 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California, and Section 11,927 of the Revenue and Taxation Code which provides for marital property. -1- SECTION 7. Section 10 of Ordinance No: 293 is hereby amended by providing that where the word "maximum" appears in said section is amended to provide "minimum". This pertains to the amount of insurance to be carried. SECTION 8. Section 4 of Ordinance No: 472 is hereby amended by providing that where the words "two" appears tha the word "three" shall be substitutes in said section. This pertains to the time for the registration of bicycles. SECTION 9. Section 2 of Ordinance No: 496 is hereby amended by providing that where the words "ten (10) days" are set forth that there shall be a substitution of "fifteen (15) days" in lieu thereof. This pertains to the notice of the hearing by the City Clerk. SECTION 10. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its final passage and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be published as provided for by law.
