ORDINANCE NO. 573
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE ELECTION OF
HAVING SANITATION AND SEWER CHARGES FOR EACH
FORTHCOMING FISCAL YEAR COLLECTED ON THE TAX ROLLS
TOGETHER WITH ITS GENERAL TAXES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Califor-
nia, pursuant to Ordinance 416 established Sewer Service Charges in
the amounts established from time to time by Resolution of the City
Council, and pursuant to Ordinance 370 and subsequent resolutions
fixing sanitation charges. The City Council by Resolution pre-
scribed policies, procedures, rules and regulations regarding
administration of the system for collecting such charges.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section l: That a finding is hereby established that the
collection of the sewer service charges as a part of the tax
assessments is in the best interest of the users and the City of
Beaumont.
Section 2: That the cost of sanitation and sewer service
for each parcel of land listed in the written sewer service charge
report shall constitute a special assessment against that parcel
and shall be a lien on said parcel of land in accordance with the
provisions of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California
and Ordinance 416 and Ordinance 370 of the City of Beaumont, Cali-
fornia.
Section 3: That by resolution anitemized written report
and bill for each separate parcel of land will be prepared by the
City Manager and will be affixed to such resolution and made a part
by reference as though more fully set forth therein. A copy of the
Resolution, together with the exhibit attached thereto, shall be
made a part of the tax assessments and part of the tax rolls in
accordance with Section 5471 and 5473 of the Health and Safety Code
of the State of California and other provisions of the law appli-
cable thereto.
