AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C
OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA DECLARING NO FURT
NEED FOR A REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, Beaumont City Council Ordinance Number 543 declared
a need for a Redevelopment Agency, and by said Ordinance the City
Council of the City of Beaumont declared itself to be the Rede-
velopment Agency pursuant to Redevelopment Agency Law; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency has not redeveloped or
acquired land for, or commenced the redevelopment of a project,
or entered into contracts for redevelopment within two years after
the adoption of Beaumont City Council Ordinance Number 543; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont finds that
there is no further need for such an agency;
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It is hereby found and therefore declared that
there is no further need for a Redevelopment Agency in the City
of Beaumont, California.
Section 2. The offices of the agency members are vacated and
the capacity of the agency to transact business or exercise any
powers is suspended.
Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to file with the
Secretary of State a certified copy of this ordinance.
Section 4. The City Clerk is directed to certify to the
passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to be published
once in the Record -Gazette, a daily newspaper of general circula-
tion, published and circulated in the City of Beaumont, California.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30)
days after its final passage and adoption.
