ORDINANCE NO. 584
AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, TO AMEND ORDINANCE 490
TO PROVIDE PRE -ZONING TO PROPERTY REQUESTING ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT (ANNEXATION NO. 31)
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Beaumont, California as follows:
SECTION 1. To protect the public safety, health and welfare,
this Ordinance is adopted as an urgency ordinance precedent to an
annexation request to the City of Beaumont.
SECTION 2. Property identified as all of Lot 45 and a portion
of Highland Springs Avenue (Lot "A") and Fifth Street (Lot "B") of
Grand View Rancho as shown by map on file in Book 23 of Maps at
pages 19 and 20 thereof, Records of.Riverside County, California,
and a portion of Highland Springs Avenue within the Northwest
one-quarter of Section 12, Township 3 South, Range 1 West, S.B.M.,
as shown on said map of Grand View Rancho, and generally located
at Highland Springs Avenue and Interstate 10, are pre -zoned
Interim General Commercial Zone (C-2).
This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED UPON FIRST READING this 24th day of
October , 1983, upon the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilman May, Shaw, Hammel and Mayor Thompson.
