ORDINANCE NO. 590
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT AMENDING TITLE 17 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE IN ITS ENTIRETY, PROVIDING NEW LAND USE
PLANNING AND ZONING REGULATIONS, AFFIXING NEW
ZONING DESIGNATIONS TO ALL PROPERTIES WITHIN
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, ADOPTION OF OFFICIAL MAP
REFLECTING SAME, AND REPEALING ALL PREVIOUSLY
ADOPTED PROVISIONS OF TITLE 17 AND ORDINANCE
NO. 490.
The City Council of the City of Beaumont ordains as
follows:
SECTION I. The existing Title 17 (Zoning) provisions adopted
under Ordinance No. 490 are not fully consistent with
the City of Beaumont's General Plan and its elements and
are hereby repealed.
SECTION II. New zoning regulations (Title 17) as approved by
the City of Beaumont Planning Commission upon completion
of public hearings in accordance with state law and for
which environment assessment and a Negative Declaration
have been prepared, are consistent with the adopted Gen-
eral Plan as required by California State Law.
SECTION III. The City Council of the City of Beaumont, has held
public hearings as required by law and approved the Nega-
tive Declaration and New Title 17 (Zoning) provisions.
SECTION IV. The City of Beaumont City Council, does hereby or-
dain that the existing Title 17 and Ordinance No. 490 are
hereby repealed and the New Land Use Planning and Zoning
Regulations Title 17 (Zoning) attached as Exhibit "A" are
hereby adopted and new zoning classifications are affixed
as follows to all properties within the City of Beaumont.
0-S (Open Space) to 0-S (Open Space, Conservation and Re-
creation;
R -A (Residential Agriculture) to R -A (Residential Agricul-
ture);
R-1 ( Single Family Residential) to R -S -F (Residential
Single Family);
R -T (Mobilehome Subdivision) to R -S -F (Residential Single
Family);
RMH (Mobilehome Park) to RMF (Residential Multiple Family);
R-3 (Multi -Family Residential) to R -HD (Residential High
Density);
P (Automobile Parking) to R -HD (Residential High Density);
R-0 (Restricted Office) to CRO (Commercial -Residential and
Office);
C-1 (Limited Commercial) to C -N (Commercial -Restricted
Neighborhood);
C-2 (General Commercial) to C -G (Commercial General);
I -P (Industrial Park) to M -IP (Industrial Park);
M-1 (Light Manufacturing) to M -C (Light Commercial -
Manufacturing);
M-2 (General Manufacturing) to M -L (Light Manufacturing).

SECTION V. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Beaumont as
amended pursuant to Section III is hereby adopted as the
New Zoning Map of the City of Beaumont.
