ORDINANCE NO. 399
AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, REPEALING
SECTIONS 2.04.040 THROUGH 2.04.300 OF THE
BEAUMONT MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADDING A NEW
SECTION 2.04.040 TO THE BEAUMONT MUNICIPAL
CODE CONCERNING RULES OF ORDER FOR TIE CITY
COUNCIL MEETINGS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Sections 2.04.040 through 2.04.300, inclusive,
are repealed.
SECTION 2: New Section 2.04.04r is added to read as
follows:
Robert's Rules of Order Revised, supplemented by
Parliamentary Procedures At a Glance constitute the rules of order
for all.meetings of the City Council.
SECTION 3: This ordinance is for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public peace, health, and. safety.
This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
INTRODUCED AND PASSED UPON FIRST READING this 9th day of
Aril, 1984, upon the following- roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Lowry, May, Mitchell and Mayor Pro Tem
Russo.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
ABSENT: Mayor Thompson.
