AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AFFORDABLE
HOUSING AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has entered into a number of Regional
Contribution Agreements with neighboring communities as sending
municipalities for the transfer of affordable housing funds to the Borough;
and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Council on Affordable Housing ("COAH") has
advised the Borough that an Affordable Housing Plan demonstrating
Carteret's ability to utilize the above described funding in accordance with
COAH regulations is required; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has determined that it is desirable to enter
into an agreement(s) for the construction, reconstruction development and/or
redevelopment of affordable housing within the Borough.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Governing Body of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that the
Mayor be and is hereby authorized to negotiate, execute and administer
agreement(s) for the provision of affordable housing within the Borough in
accordance with COAH requirements.

and certified as a true copy of the original
