A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING
STAFF TO SOLICIT A NOTICE INVITING BIDS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL
IMPROVEMENTS AT THE INTERSECTION OF IMPERIAL HIGHWAY
AND RUTH AVENUE PROJECT (CIP 4011.68.115)".
WHEREAS, a traffic signal analysis was conducted at the intersection of Imperial
Highway and Ruth Avenue.;
WHEREAS, the intersection of Imperial Highway and Ruth Avenue has met
warrants for a new traffic signal.
WHEREAS, staff recommends the installation of the new traffic signal
improvements.; and
WHEREAS, On June 21, 2022, the City Council approved the installation of a
new traffic signal at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Ruth Avenue.;
WHEREAS, Infrastructure Engineers has prepared plans and specifications for
the Traffic Signal Design.; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting authorization to solicit Notices Inviting Bids for
the Traffic Signal Improvements at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Ruth
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, staff will review responsible bidders and make a recommendation
for Council to award at a future council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorize staff to solicit a Notice Inviting Bids
for the traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Ruth
Avenue.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
