HomeMy Public PortalAbout5/11/1995 executive® GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL Executive Session May 11, 1995 The Greencastle Common Council met in executive session on Thursday, May 11, 1995 at 7:30 at Tzounanakis Intermediate School. On call of the roll the following members were shown to be present. Councilor Tom Roach, Councilor Jerry Calbert, Councilor Charles Miles, Councilor Mike Rokicki. Councilor Sue Murray was absent. Also present were City Engineer Chris Barnes, City Attorney John Zeiner, Bill Dorey, Director of G/PCDC. Representing the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center was Bill Dorey. Discussion ensued concerning the Sherwin Williams facility. An interested company was reported. An alternative sight in South Carolina was noted. This company would provide 100 jobs at $10.00 plus an hour. Nelson Ford is to meet with them again on Tuesday, May 16, 1995. It was also noted that some changes in the airport would need to occur. Mr. Dorey presented information concerning a potential industrial client for the Sergeant Cunningham site. The company would employ 35 people or less at $7.00 to $12.00 an hour. The client is requesting that the city provide the sewer line and tax abatement Councilor Jerry Calbert left the meeting at 7:55 p.m. ® Discussion ensued concerning all the issues. The items designated to be considered by Council on the Sergeant Cunningham site were tax abatement and sewer line. With no further business, Councilor Tom Roach moved for adjournment. This motion was seconded by Councilor Mike Rokicki, was carried by an aye unanimous vote, and the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m. Z'z� Michael M. Harmless, Mayor ATTEST: Tonia M.
