HomeMy Public PortalAboutr 03:057No. 03-57 Date of Adoption February 6 2003 RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MCIA CAPITAL EQUIPMENT LEASE PURCHASE PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Middlesex County Improvement authority (MCIA) is authorized to issue bonds pursuant to the provisions of the County Improvement Authorities Law, chapter 183 of the Laws of New Jersey of 1960, as amended and supplemented (N.IS.A. 40:37A-44 et seq.) (the "County Improvement Authorities Law"), and other applicable )revisions of law; and WHEREAS, the Borough of Caneret desires to participate in the MCIA capital ~'quipment lease purchase program in order to finance the acquisition of equipment in accordance with its annual budget and capital program; and WHEREAS, in order to participate in the 2003 capital equipment lease purchase program, the Borough of Carteret must submit a preliminary list to the MCIA for consideration; and WHEREAS, upon acceptance of the 2003 equipment list by the MCIA, an ordinance approving and authorizing the emering into, execution and delivery of a lease and agreement with the MCIA will be submitted to Council for consideration; and WHEREAS, the Borough has identified the following items to fund in 2003: Ouantity Item Amount 2 Mason Dump Trucks $ 70,000 1 Elgin SWeet Sweeper 125,000 1 Salt Shed 50,000 1 Box Compactor 15,000 Totals $260,000 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Borough of Caneret~ Middlesex County, New Jersey that the appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized to submit the items above to the Middlesex County Improvement Authority for consideration and inclusion in the 2003 capital equipment lease purchase program.
