HomeMy Public PortalAbout5/22/1995 special® GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL Special Session May 22, 1995 The Greencastle Common Council met in special session on Monday, May 22, 1995 at 6:30 p.m. at Tzouanakis Intermediate School. On call of the roll the following members were shown to be present: Councilor Sue Murray, Councilor Charles Miles, Councilor Tom Roach. Councilor Jerry Calbert and Councilor dike Rokicki were absent. Approval of Minutes: Councilor Murray moved to approve the minutes on the May 16 regular session. Councilor Miles seconded the motion and it was carried by an aye unanimous vote of members present. Councilor Mike Rokicki arrived at 6:45. Ordinance 1995 -6, An Ordinance Rezoning Lot 50 and Part of Lot 49 Railroad Enlargement from R1 to R2 (Jeffries - Southridge Subdivision), was presented for final reading and was read by title only by Mayor Harmless. Upon request of ;Mayor Harmless, Councilor Murray made a motion to remove Ordinance 1995 -6 from consideration. This motion was seconded by Councilor Roach and was carried by an aye unanimous vote of ® members present. Ordinance 1995 -7, An Ordinance Vacating Twelve Foot Alley Between Apple Street and Howard Street in Block 2 of the Ash Enlargement to the City of Greencastle. Indiana by Robert Lee Perry and Linda Perry, was presented for final reading and was read by title only by Mavor Harmless. Councilor Miles moved to aoorove Ordinance 1995 -7 as presented. This motion was seconded by Councilor Murray' and was carried by an aye unanimous vote of members present. Ordinance 1995 -8. An Ordinance Approving a New Schedule of Water Rates and Charges, was presented for final reading and was read by title only by Mayor Harmless. Councilor Murray moved to approve Ordinance 1995 -8 as presented. This motion was seconded by Councilor Rokicki and was carried by an aye unanimous vote of members present. It was noted by Bette Dodd of Ice Miller Donadio & Ryan, the earliest this could take affect would be August and the latest would be September. Ordinance 1995 -9, An Ordinance of the City of Greencastle authorizing the issuance of waterworks revenue bonds for the purpose of providing funds to pay the cost of certain additions, extensions and improvements to the municipal waterworks of said City, was presented for final reading and was read by title only by Mayor Harmless. Councilor Rokicki moved to approve Ordinance 1995 -9 as presented. This motion was seconded by ® Councilor Murray and was carried by an aye unanimous vote of members present. " CC 5/22/95 Page 2 Resolution 1995 -L, A Resolution Authorizing an Interlocal Agreement Between the Citv of Greencastle and Greencastle Township for the Purchase of a Fire Truck, was presented for final reading and was read in its entirety by Mayor Harmless. Councilor Roach moved to approve Resolution 1995 -12 as presented. This motion was seconded by Councilor Rokicki and was carried by an aye unanimous vote of members present. With no further business, Councilor Roach moved for adjournment.
