A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE
TOWN OF GULF STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, APPOINTING THE PALM BEACH COUNTY
SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS AS A MEMBER OF THE
CANVASSING BOARD FOR ELECTIONS HELD WITHIN THE
TOWN OF GULF STREAM AND AUTHORIZING THE
SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS TO HANDLE ABSENTEE
BALLOTS FOR THE TOWN; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections is
authorized to act as a member of the canvassing board for the Town
of Gulf Stream; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Town Commission of the Town
of Gulf Stream that the Supervisor of Elections act as a member of
the canvassing board for the Town of Gulf Stream for elections held
within the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Town Commission also desires that the Supervisor
of Elections handle absentee ballots for and on behalf of the Town.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE
TOWN OF GULF STREAM, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections
is hereby named as a member of the canvassing board for the Town of
Gulf Stream.
Section 2. The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections
is authorized to handle absentee ballots for and on behalf of the
Town of Gulf Stream.
Section 3. A copy of this Resolution shall be provided to
the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session assembled this 17th day
of January, 1997.
