HomeMy Public PortalAbout2023.010 (02-07-2023)RESOLUTION NO. 2023.010 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 ADOPTED BUDGET, CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION (SALARY SCHEDULE) PLANS FOR STAFF/POSITION REALLOCATIONS WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a General Law City under California ON and is governed by and elected City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted an Employee Classification and Position Plan and on occasion amends the plan as needed; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has adopted a salary resolution with salary schedules for Management and General employees; and WHEREAS, in order to amend the City's classification plan, the City Council must do so by way of resolution in accordance with Rule IV, Sections 1-5 of the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations; WHEREAS, in order to amend the City's compensation plan, the City Council must do so by way of resolution in accordance with Rule V, Sections 1-2 of the City's Personnel Rules and Regulations; NOW, THEREFORE, THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Fiscal Year 2022-23 adopted budget will be amended through the following personnel actions and their funding: 1. Downgrade the budgeted Full -Time Executive Assistant position to Administrative Assistant within Department of Community Development; and 2. Downgrade the budgeted Full -Time Public Works Special Projects Manager position to Senior Management Analyst within the Department of Public Works; and 3. Transfer budgeted Administrative Analyst III position from City Manager's Office and General Fund portion of budgeted Senior Human Resources Analyst position to Department of Community Development; and 4. Upgrade (1) budgeted Full -Time Assistant Engineer Position to Associate Engineer within Department of Public Works; and Section 2. Amend the City's Classification and Compensation Plans (Salary Schedule) to reflect the following personnel actions: 1. Title change for the Public Works Assistant classification to Assistant Engineer; and 2. Title change for the Civil Engineer classification to Associate Engineer; and 3. Insert the Senior Planner classification into the City's Salary Schedule; and 4. Insert the Account Specialist classification into the City's Salary Schedule.
