GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL
Special Session
July 25, 1995
The Greencastle Common Council met in special session on Tuesday, Juiv 25, ?995, at
7:30 pm at Tzouanakis Intermediate School. On the Roll Call, the following were found to be
present: Councilor Calbert, Councilor Miles, Councilor Murray, Councilor Roach and Councilor
Rokicki. Also present were Mayor Mike Harmless and City Attorney John Zeiner.
There were no Public Petitions or Comments.
Ordinance 1995 -1 3 ), An Ordinance Establishing the Size Departments of City
Government ..., Fixing Salaries for the Employees of Such Departments and Fixing the
Salaries of Certain Other Appointed Officials for the Year 1996 was presented. It was read
by title only by Mayor Harmless. A motion by Councilor Murray, seconded by Councilor Miles,
was passed on final readin on an aye unanimous vote.
Councilor Roach initiated a discussion of seif- funded health insurance plans. A pool of
around 500 employees is needed to create such a plan. He reported that the North Putnam
School Corporation is one of I5 school systems and two other units that constitute a seif-
I insurance association. The experience has been good. Insurance costs for North
Putnam are lower now than they were when the corporation joined the cooperative plan live
years ago.
With no further business, on a motion by Councilor Rokicki and seconded by Counciior
Calbert, the meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm.
