A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF GULF
STREAM, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND TOWN MANAGER
TO EXECUTE WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION, FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION AND ANY
OTHER LOCAL, STATE OR FEDERAL AGENCY ALL AGREEMENTS AND
DOCUMENTS AS NECESSARY TO SECURE FUNDS FOR, DEVELOP
DESIGNS FOR, CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN LANDSCAPE
IMPROVEMENTS ALONG STATE ROAD AlA IN THE TOWN OF GULF
STREAM, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Whereas, the Town of Gulf Stream applied for and was awarded
grant funds provided through the Intermodal Surface
Transportation Efficiency Act to design and construct landscaping
improvements along State Road AlA in the Town of Gulf Stream;
Whereas, to secure the awarded funds, develop designs,
construct and maintain the landscape improvements require that
the Town Mayor and Town Manager enter into agreements and execute
other documents with the Florida Department of Transportation,
Federal Highway Administration and other local, state and federal
agencies on behalf of the Town; and
Whereas, the Town Commission of the Town of Gulf Stream
wishes to authorize the Town Mayor and Town Manager to execute
said agreements and documents with said agencies without delay.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE
TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Town Commission of the Town of Gulf
Stream, Florida hereby authorizes the Town Mayor and Town Manager
to enter into agreements and execute other documents with the
Florida Department of Transportation, Federal Highway
Administration and other local, state and federal agencies on
behalf of the Town as necessary to secure funds, develop designs,
construct and maintain the landscape improvements along State
Road AlA in the Town of Gulf Stream generally described in the
Federal -Aid Project Prospectus prepared by the Town and dated
February 25, 1997 and attached hereto and made a part of this
Resolution as Exhibit "A ".
