HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 670ORDINANCE NO. 670 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE PENAL CODE REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO SELECTION AND TRAINING STANDARDS OF PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHERS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: SECTION 1: The City of Beaumont, California declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the State of California under the provisions of Section 13522, Chapter 1, of Title 4, Part 4, of the California Penal Code. SECTION 2: Pursuant to Section 13510(c), Chapter 1, the City of Beaumont will adhere to standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). SECTION 3: Pursuant to Section 13512, Chapter 1, the Commission and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed appropriate by the Commission to ascertain that the City of Beaumont's public safety dispatcher personnel adhere to standards for selection and training established by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. 1989• ATTEST: MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of January APPROVED AS TO FORM: CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT CERTIFICATION I, Robert J.
