Home My Public Portal AboutRES2011-05_Mechanical Inspector_08162011RESOLUTION NO.2011-05 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF IONA PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A MECHANICAL INSPECTOR AS REQUIRED BY THE INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO; REQUIRING THE FILING OF THE RESOLUTION WITH STATE AUTHORITIES; ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council desires to retain the services of a licensed and properly certified ICC mechanical inspector for the purpose of acting as the code official designated by Section 103.2 of the International Mechanical Code, as adopted by the City pursuant to section 7-7-1 of the Iona City Code; WHEREAS, Idaho state authorities require passage of this Resolution and the filing thereof with the Department of Building Safety; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IONA, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Appointment of Code Official for Mechanical Inspection Services. Mr. gire fittc- c leis hereby appointed to serve as the Iona Code official for the purposes of Section-103.2 of the International Mechanical Code, as adopted by the City pursuant to Section 7-7-1 of the Iona City Code. Such person shall serve at the will and pleasure of the City Council and for an initial term one year from the date of this Resolution unless sooner terminated. In the event no successor is appointed, such person shall be authorized to serve until another person is appointed in this capacity. Section 2. Duties and Powers of Code Official. The Code Official shall have such powers and duties as set forth in Section 104 of the International Mechanical Code, as so adopted by the City. Section 3. Filing. The City Clerk shall forthwith file a certified copy of this Resolution with the State Division of Building Safety. Section 4. Establishing Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective upon its passage and execution in the manner provided by law.
